1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to:

• the FlashForge mobile application
• our backend services used for AI generation and related operational controls
• rewarded ad flows used to unlock certain AI features

2. Information We Process

Information stored on your device

• decks
• flashcards
• review history and scheduling data
• app settings
• generated deck drafts before save or discard

Information sent to our backend

• prompt text used for prompt-to-deck generation
• images uploaded for image-to-deck generation
• selected category and optional goal date
• a locally generated device identifier used for AI/ad flow coordination

Information processed by integrated third parties

• AI model providers may process prompt text, OCR text, and uploaded image content needed for generation
• advertising providers may process device/app/ad-related data needed to deliver rewarded ads

3. How We Use Information

• to store and display your study content
• to calculate review schedules and progress
• to create flashcard decks from prompts or images
• to gate certain AI features behind rewarded ads
• to operate, secure, and improve the service
• to limit abuse and monitor reliability and cost

4. Local Study Data

FlashForge is designed to keep core study data on your device. Your manually created decks, cards, review history, and settings are stored locally unless and until you intentionally send content through an AI feature.

Generated deck drafts are also stored locally before final save or discard so they can survive app reloads.

5. AI Features

If you use AI-assisted deck generation:

• your prompt text and/or uploaded image may be sent to our backend
• our backend may forward necessary content to third-party AI providers to process your request
• generated outputs are returned to the app for your review and editing before saving

AI processing is optional. If you do not want prompt or image content processed through third-party AI systems, do not use the AI generation features.

6. Rewarded Ads

Some AI features may require watching a rewarded ad before use. When rewarded ads are shown, advertising providers may process information needed to deliver ads and measure ad events.

7. Device Identifier

The app generates and stores a device identifier locally. This identifier is used by our backend to help coordinate AI feature access, rewarded-ad flows, and abuse-prevention controls. It is not intended to expose your identity by name.

8. Data Retention

On-device data

Local study data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.

Backend-side operational data

Backend operational logs and AI service logs may be retained for reliability, security, abuse prevention, and cost monitoring. Ad-related eligibility, grant, and credit state may also be retained for service operation and anti-abuse controls.

9. Security

We use reasonable measures intended to protect service infrastructure and reduce misuse, including:

• server-side handling of provider API keys
• request limits and anti-abuse controls around AI usage
• server-side controls around rewarded-ad entitlements and AI generation access

No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Sharing of Information

We do not describe the app as selling personal information. We may share or allow processing of limited information:

• with AI providers to generate requested flashcard content
• with advertising providers to support rewarded ads
• with infrastructure or hosting providers that help operate the backend
• when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, or service integrity

11. Your Choices

• create, edit, and delete decks and cards locally in the app
• choose not to use AI-assisted features
• stop using the app and uninstall it to remove local app data from your device

12. Children

FlashForge is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the app's services. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the service, contact us at pieti.psstudios@gmail.com.

13. International Processing

Our backend infrastructure and third-party service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. By using the AI-assisted features of the app, you understand that prompt, image, OCR, operational, and related service data may be processed by providers operating in other jurisdictions.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
